4 More Days!

I can't believe Christmas will be here in four more days. AND I can't believe Nellie will be two months old on Saturday. We will be traveling a lot the next two weeks. Going to Clovis for Christmas and then to Farmington the next week for a wedding. Thankfully Nellie is still sleeping 10 hours a night. That blessing came a lot sooner than we thought but we are sure grateful.

Look how big she is getting! She is so long!

Uncle Jason and Aunt Sarah sent Nellie this adorable screen-printed onesie.  She has cute brown pants and pink booties to match.  I am obsessed with clothes so I literally have to avoid the baby section so I am not tempted to go crazy and buy tons of clothes that she can wear for such a short time.

My sweet girl.

We tried her in her seat for the first time this weekend.   I think she likes it.  She can't hold her head up very well yet so this is good practice.  She also rode in her stroller for the first time this week at the mall.  She really liked that too.  She just looked around all wide-eyed at everybody.  It drives me crazy when people ask what my "sons" name is even though is she is wearing girls clothes!

Enjoying the winter weather.

Look how high she can hold her head up now during tummy time!  She has to be in a good mood to pull off tummy time.
Morning sunrise.

Yesterday we all went to Santa Fe to finish up our shopping and walk around the plaza.  Poor Nellie threw up 4 times at Target and one time as we were holding her it went all over her face and in her little eyes.  It was so sad and I made such a mess on the changing station as she threw up all over it.  Everyone was so nice and helpful.

On Tuesday we are going to the UNM vs NMSU basketball game with our friends.  I hear it can be tough on the Aggie fans but I'll wear my t-shirt proud.  Hey, who's gonna hit a lady with a baby?!  I hope everyone has a fabulous week and Merry Christmas!!!

It's beginning to look a lot Christmas

Last week we experienced our first snow!  It has snowed three days since then.  I took Nellie out while it was snowing and people were giving me the "how dare you take your baby out in this" look.  One lady said something I just pretended not to notice.

Nellie is all dressed up for church this Sunday.

Family pic!

Saturday we celebrated our 5 year anniversary and Lauren came to town to babysit Nellie.  It was our first time to leave her with a sitter and they both did great!

See how excited Nellie is that Mamma and Daddy are celebrating 5 years!?

We went to the Nutcracker ballet.  It was my first time to go.  Because it was  opening night there were a lot of mistakes but it was still super fun.
Now here are some smiles from sweet Nellie.

Hi cutie!

Tummy time.  She HATES it and will only stay there a couple of minutes.  She gets good practice by laying on my chest and lifting up her head.
She is cooing and smiling like crazy and sleeping TEN hours a night!  She usually takes three naps a day and loves to ride in her sling while I'm shopping.

We bought a tree!  I am glad we did it makes me happy and gets me in the Christmas spirit.

River of Lights

Ahh, I just love the Christmas season.  I love the lights and decorations in the stores.  On Friday we went to the river of lights at Botanical Gardens.  It really got me in the Christmas spirit.  So much so I had to buy a tree this weekend.  It was our first tree to buy in America.  The last three Christmas' were in North Africa and we had a little tree that we borrowed.

We went with our friends Gabe and Gelaine.  Here are their kids Oliver and Lucy posing with Nellie.  You can see Nellie is very impressed with the lights.

Family pic.  Nellie was so into it.
Her winter hat.  She has matching gloves too!

Geez, I sure love this kid!
She was on her way out to go exercise in her baby Gap jogging suit.

Daddy and Nellie reading about grace.  We are teaching her sound theology nice and young.

Look how big she is getting!  I had her weighed on Friday and she was 9.0 pounds in the 25%.  So a little on the lighter side but pretty long at 22.25 inches in the 50%.

All dressed up for church.

Good news, she finally likes her swing!  I tried her in the baby papasan and the swing so many times and she hated it.  But this week she finally sat in it.  In fact she falls asleep in it now! I know you can't tell by the expression on her face but she is having a ball in that thing!  :)

I got my first flu shot today.  I kept hearing that if you have new baby you should get one but everyone stopped giving them.  I finally found out where I could go and went to the public health office.  I sure hope I don't get sick because this Saturday Cody and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary!  We are going to the Nutcracker ballet.  We have never been so I hope it's good.  See you next week!  Oh yeah, Cody and I started dating exactly 8 years ago today!

First Thanksgiving

Nellie celebrated one month on Thanksgiving.  We went to Las Cruces to spend the holiday with my family.  Nellie and the turkey weighed about the same.  You can tell she was really impressed with Thanksgiving.

Nellie met her Aunt Sarah for the first time.  They live in Austin and couldn't make it to the birth so it was so great to see them.

Grandpa you are so crazy.

Chillin with her Uncle Jason.

Uncle J you are so hilarious! Nellie will occasionally flash a smile now.  It's the cutest thing I have ever seen and I can't wait until she gets the hang of it.

Sleepy baby.

Somehow I never get in photos anymore because I am always taking  pics of Nellie.  I think this is only pic of me the whole week.

So I have this cute Christmas outfit but it barely fits her right now so I know it will not fit her by Christmas so I did a little photo shoot.

Mama you're killing me, enough already!
Sweet face.

Nellie had a playdate with her BFF Macey.  This was right before Nellie fell over, pooped her pants and started bawling.  Ahh....memories.  This babies are 9 weeks apart.

Look at this face.  I have to admit she looks so adorable when she cries.

Okay I like to take pictures in Nellie's different outfits because A) I am a dork and B) I would like to remember her outfits someday and surely don't want to save them all.
Her French outfit she got from a sweet lady from North Africa.  This means "I'm an Angel"
