Gettin ready for Christmas

December 13th Cody and I celebrated 7 years of marriage. We went to Santa Fe this past weekend while my parents watched the kids. We stayed at the La Fonda on the Plaza and had a delicious dinner at The Shed. mmm...fish tacos. After that we went dancing at what we presume was a gay club as we were one of the few male/female duos. The next day we had breakfast at a French cafe (Cody had the crepes and I had the croque madame) and walked around Santa Fe for awhile.
The La Fonda hotel is almost 100 years old! Getting ready to go out.
It was so pretty because it had just snowed that day so it was fresh and powdery and not mud sludge yet.
A quick family pic before heading out.
Here is Friday morning at our condo's. Nellie played in the snow with her friend Arabella.
She really loved it but we gotta get her some mittens cause her poor lil hands were freezing.
Now on to some pics of our handsome lil man.
He is talking, cooing, and laughing so much now. He is a really happy, easy-going baby. And he sure loves his mama! He always has a sweet smile for me.
Nellie in the reindeer pj's.
And Julien in the reindeer pj's.

Here's the latest of Nel...

And some sweet sibling pics.
She asks to hold J all the time now. It usually only last a couple of seconds before she screams "all done!"
Poor second child :)
On saturday we went to a super fun dinner with 8 couple friends. It was so nice to still have the 'rents in town so we could stay out late and not worry.
6 of the couples. Such great friends we have!
The ladies.
And on Saturday we did Christmas with my parents and Nellie got this amazing rocking horse. She LOVES it and constantly says "i ride da horsey!"
Givin her horsey some love :)

That's it until after the holidays. Peace and Love and Merry Christmas to all!

Thanksgiving in Mississippi

We flew to Jackson, Mississippi on Thanksgiving day and the kids did great. Nel was much easier to entertain than the last time (probably due to Dora on the ipod touch) and Julien didn't make a peep. Here is Nellie calling the fam to tell them we are on our way!
We met up with Mimi and Papi in Dallas which was great to have the extra hands.
Hanging out with all the Aunt's. Dad has five sisters and he's the only boy.
Julien was held constantly which means he slept constantly. But thankfully he still slept at night too.
There was so many of us so we stayed at a hotel. It was right next to this great shopping center. Ann Taylor and Loft had %40 all items (including sale items!) on Friday. Yup, found me some good deals.
Nellie having dinner with her cousins. She fit right in and loved playing with them!
Julien getting some cuddle time with Aunt Mary.
Here's most of the group we saw. It was so wonderful to introduce the kids to everyone and catch up. It felt just like old times!
On to some kid pics. Here is Nellie rocking her latest style this year, 12 month dresses. I usually pair them with leggings or jeans and she can wear them two years in a row!

Smiles from sweet baby J. He is totally cooing and smiling now. Precious.
Cheeeeese.
"Loving on" her brother.
Loves to wear my shoes. Look how long Nellie's hair is getting again.
She is always on the ground when Julien is. If he is on his belly, so is she. If he is on his back, she will lay on her back and just stare up. So strange. Anyway, J is rolling from belly to back going both directions very consistently now.
Nellie walked out in this dress up heels and a pearl necklace on.
boots again.
And finally our handsome sweet lil man. He goes for his two month check up on Thursday so I am anxious to see where he is on the charts. He feels huge to me! peace out.

Twick or Tweat

Our inaugural use of the double stroller. The place where the carseat goes can also be a seat like Nel's and each seat can face forward or backward. the storage space underneath is spectacular too! Although it's long, it's narrow which is nice to fit through doors and down aisles.
Family Pic
Our sweet lil skeleton boy.
Nel's adorable ladybug friend Ina.
Koko and Julien.
The girls loved handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters. They got the hang out of it fast and loved seeing all the kids in costumes.
Trying to get a family pic, it's the best we could do!
Nell loved trick-or-treating. She was a little scared and apprehensive at first but loved it after a few houses. She would say "twick or tweet, fank you!"
Here's a zoo picture that is out of order but I am much to lazy to switch things around.
One last trick-or-treating pic with Chrissy and the girls.
Now, back to the zoo. Nellie and Julien took their first zoo train ride. It was 20 minutes of pure excitement...or not. it was actually a slow crawl around the BACK of the exhibits through the junkyard part of the zoo. Oh well, next time we'll do the long ride that goes between the zoo and the aquarium.
See how much fun J is having?!
Nell kept screaming "I ride da train!" the whole time and then talked about it for days.
Any time Julien is laying on the ground Nellie gets down there with him and talks to him. It's so sweet...until she lays flat on top of him or straddles him. When he's on his back she likes to cuddle with him by putting her big ol head on his chest. He's a really good sport about it though :)
And now she voluntarily gives him kisses and hugs.

Sweet boy.
Nel likes to sit in our laps when we are holding Julien.

I LOVE this pic of Jman.
Brrrr...it's getting cold up in this place!
Papi came and Nellie wore her camo overalls in honor of Mimi and Papi's visit. Papi's is a hardcore hunter. Nellie's overalls have a dainty lacey touch.
On to recent nel pics...

And finally a lil comparison of the siblings in the same outfit. Julien is obviously much bigger than Nel. He started out over a pound bigger than her and is gaining fast!

AH! i have the cutest kids!
