Wedding Fun and Clovis

Okay, so I have finally gone through all my pics to put together new posts. I have divided the pics up in to two posts cause there is SO many! So these start out in Houston at the rehearsal for Joe and Shell's wedding. I was so involved in all the hub-bub that I was a terrible picture taker. I didn't get any good ones of the rehearsal dinner. Here is Nellie's cute dress that she wore though.
Nellie's "wedding" present from Shell was this super cute pink leopard outfit. Which is so perfect b/c Shell's wedding had accents of leopard!

Okay, here is the morning of the wedding. We all went to a salon to get ready and had the whole place to ourselves. Shell arranged for each of us to have a 20 minute massage, our hair and make up done, and breakfast! It was so much fun.
Toasting to the bride!
Awww, besties.
Ashley and I posing before the festivities begin.
All the b-maids and the beautiful bride.
I don't have any pics from the wedding but here is a family pic after the wedding. Nellie had a really rough weekend. She didn't like the hotel crib or something and wouldn't sleep. She ended up sleeping in our bed most of the time.
The three of us!
Jason and Sarah drove in from Austin! Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time with them. BUT you'll see in the next post they came for the balloon fiesta last week!
Me and my sweet bro.
At the reception. Tired out from dancing.
After the wedding we got to stop by and see our sweet cousins! Here is Dawn and her girls Bailie and Abbie Larin.
SO...now fast forward one week and we are the reception in Las Cruces. The Hendo's had a lovely party at their house and all the b-maids were able to come for it.
Awww, the happy couple. This will be them holding their own baby soon. :)
Daddy and baby making the same face.
Nellie got to hang out with her friend Macey for awhile.
Daddy's and daughter's. Don't the girls look like they are having sooo much fun?
Getting two babies to look at the camera at the same time and smile...impossible.
Bren and Carrie. (It only took 32 pics to get one that we both liked, finally we switched sides to make it work :)
OKAY, here are some old photos from Labor Day in Clovis. These are a few family pics that I like. Look, we are all smiling AND looking at the camera.
Kisses!
awww, sweet girl.
The girlies!
Hey there cute thang!
Momma and baby.
Janny put up a swing in the backyard that Nellie played in.

And finally...family pic!

The Last Month

So here is what's been happening the past month. (except for my weekend wedding extravaganza in Houston which i haven't downloaded the pics yet). Nellie will be a year old next month....AAAHHHH! Technically she will still be a baby as long as she doesn't walk. Because once babies "toddle" around they must be called toddlers. Tear. So the other good things is she's so tiny people think she's way younger than she is. And the fact that she doesn't have a head full of hair. As you can tell, I am trying to hold on to her babyhood as long as possible. This is so surreal that a year as already passed.

*UPDATE*
I finished the blog but hadn't posted yet so I could go put Nellie to bed and she pulled herself up and stood for a few seconds alone. So then I put her in front of me and she takes a few steps forward by herself to get to me. She does this several more times!!! Ahh, her babyhood is slipping away as I type!

So this pic is on our trip to the Natural Museum of Science and History or some name like that. This is right after Cody took his CPA test. He has passed the first two of four sections...woot woot! my man is smart!
Then we went out to a nice lunch. The lighting was really good for some pics.
Look Mom!
Sweet smiley girl.
this is old news now but nellie learned how to use all sippy cups including this one with the flip up straw. and she can drink out of regular straws. I never knew how thirsty she was until she was able to drink water by herself.
Pushing her hippo around. She is still not able to stand without holding on, but I am in no rush!
Nellie is playing with her friend Titus.
Cutey patootey.
This was a dress but I paired it with jeans to make a shirt, aren't i so resourceful?
this little dress is from our friends the Hagens who it sent it to us from the Philippines. So adorable! She has a pink and green one too.
I read on babycenter that usually their eyes have stopped changing by this point but i am not sure that Nellie's have. They are blue with green but they may still turn more green. (click to enlarge.
Nellie likes to turn the hamper over and then pull all the clothes out. She had to crawl inside to get them. What doesn't make sense is she will not go through the tunnels at baby play classes.
Cheese! This is how Nellie starts the day...sock, shoes and headband.
Several hours later.

This day we went to El Rancho de Las Golondrinas outside of Santa Fe with our friends Matt and Katie. This is a living history museum. Nellie got pooped out and surprisingly took a nap in her stroller while going over sand and rocks outside.
Look at those sweet lips and nose.
Now look at those long eyelashes and sweet cheeks.

Here is Nellie listening to the man below giving his presentation on movies that have been filmed at this location. She was fascinated.

WEEEEE!!!
Here is a hairstyle I was trying out. It's sort of an emo-fohawk.
That's it for now. Hopefully soon I'll post pics from Shell's wedding. Happy Fall everyone!!!
