Well folks it's officially the middle of summer and time is flying by! I thought summer would be a time to slow down (there's NOTHING on TV after all :) but we've been going since Memorial Day! Here we are camping with three other families on Memorial day. Cody and I have no sleeping bags so I was freezing, but all in all a great trip with great friends!

Nellie stayed with my parents that's why she is absent in these photos. We also went to an indoor water park this weekend with her. It was fun but the sooo cold!
Two weeks later we DROVE to Austin to see Jason and Sarah. It took about 13 hours but our trip up there we timed pretty good. We left at 1:00 which is Nellie's nap time so she slept the first four hours. Then we got to Clovis and took a break and let her run around. Then we drove a couple more hours, got out and ate dinner. By this time it was about 8:30 and Nel was getting restless and almost time for bed. So that's when we busted out the DVD player. This was her first time to watch a "show" in the car. She watched a few episodes of Baby Einstein and then fell asleep until we arrived at 2:30 in the morning!
It was SUPER hot in Austin and Nel's little cheek's were so red and her hair curled up quite nicely. I have never seen her sweat that much, poor kid!
I just curled her eyelashes ;)

We went downtown to watch the "Austin Bats." Took forevs for those little guys to finally come out. Wasn't as dramatic as I expected but still a fun experience. Austin also has such great food! Thanks Jason and Sarah for a great visit!
Day after I cut my hair short.
Cool picture I got at the Clovis Zoo. We also celebrated Cody's B-day and went to Las Cruces and Glorieta for the 4th but those pics are still on my camera....so more to come!
While Janny was in town visiting we had a date night with some friends.

love the pic of her practicing her smile. looks perfect - no need to continue practicing. can just see her in her prom dress and that smile... she is getting cuter all the time! :)
Carrie-i love you haircut! i meant to tell you that my mom LOVED jugging the cobbler at the cook off with you-she thought you were hilarious! Also-i LOVE the picture of Nellie at the top of the blog-so pretty! much love~paty
