We would like to introduce Julien Max Garrett!
We arrived in Birmingham around 5 p.m. and went straight to the agency. There we met Julien for the first time. He has been with such a sweet transitional family over the last week. We spent some time with them and they told us everything they had learned from their time with him. Apparently Julien has his days and nights mixed up, so we should have some long nights ahead of us.
This is a very surreal experience (this is Cody writing). We received some pictures of Julien a couple of days ago, but it was so much different seeing him in person. He is a beautiful baby with huge brown eyes and a full head of hair. We look forward to the next few days bonding with Julien. We are finished at the adoption agency. Now all we have is meeting with the lawyer on Monday and waiting for the interstate adoption clearance to be approved. We plan on spending the majority of the next few days here at the hotel, spending good time with our son.
Please pray that our ICPC (interstate clearance) would clear by Wednesday so we can keep our Thursday flight. Pray for a sweet time of getting to know Julien this week but also for Nellie as she stays with Carrie's parents for the week. We really miss her already!
We love you all so much. Thank you for your prayers and investment in us. We will be updating our blog everyday for the next few days with new pics!

He is absolutely gorgeous - u can say that about baby boys, right? :) Those eyes and that full head of hair - mine were all baldies. We are so happy for you guys. Know that our hearts and our prayers are with you this wk as you bond with your new son and work out the final paperwork stuff. Also as you are away from N. :( Excited for when you can ALL be together - can't wait to see the pics of the siblings meeting each other. :)
