State fair and Preliminary Nursery Pics

Last Sunday we got in from Albuquerque at about 9:00 p.m. and then and had to pack and get ready to fly to Virginia the next day. SO, these are actually pics from last week that I didn't get a chance to post.
We went to the New Mexico State Fair while in Alb.  This was my first time, and I had but one quest...to try a fried twinkie.

Clinton and Joanna accompanied us on our trip to the fair.  We went to college with them and now they are living in Alb!

Here is me and Joanna with a big ol hunk of potato chips.  We were still on our quest for fried twinkie.

We walked around and saw some of the exhibits and I was deeply haunted by this doll.  She is even scarier in person!

We also watched the high dive show.  Most of the show was geared toward kids but the finale was this guy jumping from 80 feet.

FINALLY we found fried twinkies as we were headed out of the park and completely exhausted.  I asked another vendor if she knew where we could get some.  It was delicious but we also got some funnel cake on our way out and I was  paying for that for days!

My wedding rings started to fit snug the exact day we went to the fair SO we found this jeweler who was having a half off sale since it was the end of the fair.  I got this opal ring in hopes that BG won't be overdue and will be born in October and this is one of her birthstone's.

BG Update:
-We got back from Virginia last night and my body is paying the price.  I have started swelling in my hands and feet.  In fact my fingers sometimes get tingly and numb and its super annoying.
-I had my LC baby shower today but those pics will have to be next week.
-My explanations are pretty short this week b/c it's 10:00 p.m. and we are leaving super early tomorrow for Albuquerque and I have to finish packing.  More to come next time!!

Jan, Ali, and Lauren came down for the weekend to help get things set up in our nursery.  Here are some pics.  This is some cactus silk material I brought back and North African baby shoes hanging on the right.

More material  I brought back that Jan made a curtain out of.

We made a lamp out of this cute umbrella and it will match the red crib sheets and bumper. The crib isn't finished so more pics to come.  Thanks girls for all the help!

Here are BG's ultrasound  pics from last week.  See where the arrow is pointing, that her lips puckering up!  She's so adorable!

This is a profile pic with her hand up next to her lips.  She kept hiding with her hands up to her face but we finally got a few good ones.

Praying for you guys in this last month of pregnancy. Can sure relate to your woes on swollen fingers and feet and EVERYTHING. Is obnoxious but hang in there - it will soon be worth it all! :) Can't wait to meet your precious little one on the blog - wish it could be in person, but unless you are planning a trip to see us soon, guess will have to settle for some good pics. :) Love the nursery so far by the way!
