Bowling and Housewife Lessons

We had the great experience of bowling this weekend at the our ginormous mall for rich folks. I mean we cannot afford the stuff here people! (They have Versace...I feel too poor to even browse)

Can't you tell we are really intense bowlers?! Look at Cody's form, I mean come on! I think I scored at least an 85.

Here are some housewife lessons that I have learned the last couple of months:

Exhibit A: This is what happens when you try to make your own bread crumbs. They are too big and they end up burning and falling off the chicken. Oh how I miss the Shake n Bake days.

Exhibit B: This is what happens when you keep opening the stove too early...your stuff falls and gets wrinkley and looks like poo.

Exhibit C: This is what you do if you are having nationals over for dinner. You cook up something American and serve it in one of their dishes in the center with bread and have everyone share.

Exhibit D: This is my feeble attempt at lasagna. Unfortunately the pan was too big so it is about one and half layers and crispy.

Stay tuned for more useful info on how to be a good cook.

HAPPY EASTER!

We had an Easter party with our friends and introduced them to the idea of egg-dying and hunting for Easter eggs. They had a great time!

Here is the finished product of 50 eggs we dyed!

And here is the next day with all eggs we are left with. We'll be eating various forms of egg all week.

Our friends looking for the eggs in the park.

Here is Carrie pouring their traditional tea. It is an artform people. We are constantly being judged on the taste, how it is served, and most importantly...how it is poured. It has to be from high up and with me being a klutz and all it made for one big mess. They kept saying "Higher Carrie...it won't be good if you pour it so low!" What do they know...

This picture needs know explanation, but I'll give one anyway. It's Cody showing off his Easter shirt.

Weekend Getaway

Well last weekend we went to Europe to renew our visas. We saw some beautiful sights and got in plenty of Starbucks....six times in fact. The shopping was nice, Cody dragged me from store to store, and I was like "Cody, really, do we HAVE to keep shopping!" The best news is I didn't get seasick this time on the boat over.

Basketball Camp

Well everybody sorry for the delay in our weekly posting again. We were out of town last weekend and have been super busy. Here are a few pics from a basketball camp for children that we helped out with. (click on photo to enlarge)

This is Carrie sporting her new "Jason Johnson" t-shirt on the roof of our apartment. He is so rad.
