Our new house

Okay here is part 2 of my post today. Since you are reading this first make sure you keep scrolling down to see what happened in June. These are three pics of Nellie leftover from the last post that I like. This was Nellie's first time swinging at the park. She really liked it!

Look at my big girl! Stats on Nell Bell in the next post. Now on to our new condo! We live on the top floor and i have been pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. The neighbors are super cool and have a brand new baby and I haven't heard a peep from that baby yet. That makes me feel better about all the noise Nellie makes. It's 1237 square feet plus a balcony and a garage. It has three bedrooms and two full baths. Our complex has two pools, exercise room and a fabulous park next door. (that's where nellie was swinging)

We did lots of work (with the help of Jan) to fix up old furniture for our dining room set. We painted these black and reupholstered.

We had two chairs like this and on Saturday Cody was sitting on one and it broke in half...YIKES! So now our set is one chair short...boo. Need to hit craigslist and find a chair.

We took the leaf out and haven't pushed it back together until the top coat dries that's why there's an opening in the middle. But here's the finished product!
I have some things to hang on the wall but that will have to wait for right now.
Warning...we are leaving for an 8 day vacation for Florida tomorrow so our house is a disaster when I took these today!
Living room is at least clean! I need something big and fabulous for that wall behind the couch. it's tricky when i am trying to match colors. I am using these two ottomans as our coffee table. they are leather and nice and soft and baby proof. the lids turn over so you can set food and stuff on them. and i use the storage for nellie's toys that she plays with in the living room. That open door is the laundry room. The door next to the recliner goes to the balcony.

There you have it folks...come visit anytime. Oh by the way I didn't show you our room b/c there's nothing on the walls yet and I am embarrassed by the stacks of clothes i am packing. the accent wall in there is a deep maroon. i'll post pics later of our room, the guest room, and the balcony when it's all set up.

So we fly out tomorrow for Nellie's first trip to the beach. We are going to Fort Walton/Destin beach. We have a family reunion on the 4th. Unfortunately I got a my first visit from Aunt Flo yesterday. 17 fabulous months with no sight of her and then two days before I go on vacation she shows up...ugh!

Now that Nellie eats more solids, I am not surprised but sheesh could the timing be any worse!

June in nutshell

Well June has come and gone and I have a lot of catching up to do. I am going to have to do two posts to get it all in. So after i post this one I'll do another one with our new house pics. This is pic of Nellie at the zoo...can a girl have too many accessories? I didn't think so.

She sleeps in some crazy positions. I just bought a video baby monitor off craigslist and i love to watch her in there!
Crawling around now! I love when she puts her little booty up in the air. she's getting faster and more efficient each day.
Moving day. We had tons of friends come over and move all our stuff to the new place. I stressed my booty off to finish painting the walls in three days. I had several great girlfriends come over and help me get it done!

Believe it or not Gabi is only a month older than Nellie. She is in the 90 something percentile and Nellie is in the 15th so there is such a big difference between the two!

Photo Shoots!

Hello blog readers!  I am just going to stop apologizing for the delays in between posts.  I guess if I was truly sorry it wouldn't keep happening!  So get ready for a whole lot of Nellie.  I have been trying to get a cute pic of Nellie for a couple of photo contests that I want to enter her in.  So what do I have now you ask?  A ridiculous amount of photos of this kid that I can't seem to delete.  I might be filling up the space on our new iMac a little quicker than we had intended.  






All the previous pics are from our weekend in Glorieta with Cody's Mom and sisters.  Jan took so many cute pics of Nellie but I had to keep trying.  

Those are just a couple of cute faces I like.  
So here is the pic for one of the contests that wanted the baby smiling.  I wanted to make sure you could see her pretty eyes too so I like doing the indoor shot in front of a window.  Go ahead and click on it so you can see how pretty she is!

While we were in Glorieta we worked on our furniture for our new house.  Cody's Mom, Janny bought us all this used furniture that we are fixing up.  Janny has a "store" in Clovis called Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves.  And now by store I mean her storage shed from which she gives away free to stuff to anyone who asks.  So with the help GT&T we are going to have an eclectic, modern little condo.  We even reupholstered some chair seats.

We have been enjoying the warmer weather hanging out with friends and cooking outside.  Joanna is holding the Davis' baby Hudson.  Who just so happens to be the baby I am now watching twice a week since Dana went back to work.  A pic of Nellie and Hudson will come next post.

Here is Nellie playing with Avery while Cody plays with Halford.  
Nellie has been swimming quite a few times lately.  She hasn't fussed yet even when the water was little chilly.  

We think Nellie may be teething.  She woke up on Monday screaming her face off and inconsolable for about 30 minutes.  I gave her an ice cube inside a cloth and she calmed down and I nursed her back to sleep.  Nothing has broke through yet but I can see two white buds on her bottom gum.

I came in one day while she was napping and this is how she was laying. She has a whole big ol' crib, why is she scrunched up in the corner?  weirdo.  
Does anybody notice anything odd about this photo?  Hmm....keep looking.  Oh wait, maybe it's the EMPTY bottle of cranberry juice in the fridge.  Now Cody has a bad habit of leaving cartons empty in the fridge.  You know, take the last pudding and leave the cardboard thing.  But this is ridiculous!  

We are still waiting to close on our new house.  Now they say early next week, which is frustrating because we were suppose to close last week.  I have to get everything painted and put away quick because Jason and Sarah are  coming for a visit in two weeks!
