Tomorrow we are headed to Austin for my bro's wedding. Here is the happy couple Jason and Sarah.

BG was very uncooperative at my 16 week ultrasound. He/She would not turn around and when BG finally did turn around we couldn't see the important bits! I was SO looking forward to knowing if we have a baby boy or girl!

Here is the body shot in the regular ultrasound. We got lots of good pics of BG's femur, spine and dangling arms and legs.
This is my favorite pic so far! See how the hand is resting on the head with five tiny fingers...amazing! So I will have to wait four more weeks for my next ultrasound. The good thing is, it's not like I am buying stuff now for the baby so there isn't a rush to find out. I just want to know so we can start deciding on names and calling it a he or she.Starting this next week BG can hear outside voices and music. So that means he/she can start hearing Daddy's voice soon! When we get our computer back next week Cody is going to make a playlist for BG of his favorite songs.
Anyway, we are just thankful for healthy baby. My weight gain is normal and everything is measuring great.

Carrie and Cody! You are in Austin? You are just an hour and a half away from all your Waco friends who love you so much! Is there any way we can see you? I know you are busy with family and wedding, but we would road trip down or cook you dinner, here, or meet in the middle!

I hope you guys have a great trip to Austin. It’s my favorite city in the U.S. Of course, I’m biased, because I went to school there (hook ‘em!) and Valerie grew up there. Ironically, though we’re in Waco, I’m the interim lead p for a group in Round Rock, just north of the city.

So here's a question...Nat tells me that they call the new ultrasound technology "4-D ultrasound," is that true??? Did you guys question this obvious physics blunder when the doctor told you? I'm not sure what world these medical peeps live in...but unless the baby is traveling back-and-forth in time, I think it should be called "3-D ultrasound"...I'm just saying...I will definitely be putting docs to the test with their so called "4-D anything"... (Later ya'll!)
