In no particular order...

So, it's been awhile since my last post.  I'd like to think I have lots of good reasons why the delay.  Mostly it's just laziness.  BUT, Nellie was really sick for several days.  I took her to the doctor and she had bronchiolitis.  The doctor said it probably stemmed from RSV.  It was sad.  She was screaming like she was in pain and wouldn't let me set her down AT ALL!  Finally on the second night at 4:00 a.m. I put her in her reclining bathtub with a blanket and set her next to me on the couch and she fell asleep.
Look at this pitiful face.  Her nose was running and she was coughing and her eyes were watering.
Now these next pics are in no particular order, so please excuse my randomness.  (also stemmed from my laziness).  Look at those cute buns!  Nellie poo'd through her diaper so we were rinsing her off.   I can't wait until summer, she is going to love the swimming pool because she loves her baths and showers so much.  Here is her new swimsuit.:

Isn't this adorable?!

5 Days old.
What a difference nearly four months make!  I don't even think she looks like the same baby!
Mama and baby.  Nellie and I have so much fun going shopping and stuff.  Tomorrow we are meeting some friends at the aquarium.  I am getting a season pass that has a guest pass so if anyone want to come to the zoo, garden or aquarium you are welcome to come with me and Nellie!
Silly girl loves sticking her tongue out and blowing raspberries and spit bubbles.  She thinks it's so funny!

This week our church was focusing on overseas work so I gave all our baby friends North African outfits to wear.  Nellie got tons of cute clothes at our baby shower in North Africa.
That's pretty good that all the babies are looking in my general direction!

Sometimes Nellie's hair looks curly.  It definitely could end up that way.  Still has her baby blues.
Look at these cute, tiny toes!

Janny was in town and I couldn't resist posting all these cute pics from Nellie in her carseat.
Precious face.  Look at those eyelashes!
Chubby cheeks!
Enjoying her bath.
Nellie is starting to enjoy her tummy time more.  She'll stay there longer a play a little bit.  I think she looks mischievous here.
Family pic.
Little North African girl.

So has anyone read "Shepherding a Child's Heart."  It's a good read but it has really hit me what a daunting task raising children is!  We really have to start thinking about how we are going to discipline our children and I am feeling so overwhelmed.  I think discipline is one of those sensitive issues people can get defensive about.  Right now I am in the process of reading books and asking friends what works for them so we can decide how we want to start.

Nellie and I are going to be doing a lot of traveling while Cody is busy during tax season.  This week we are going to Clovis, then in a few weeks Austin to see Jason and Sarah and then to Las Cruces.  I can't wait until April 15th!  (that's when taxes are due and Cody can back to his normal hours)

If anyone has any blogging suggestions for me please leave them in the comments.  Anything you people want to hear or see?

she is so precious! So sorry she was sick - looked so miserable, poor little one. Glad she is better now - know that is no fun for any of you. Have fun on your travels between now and April 15! if you are in the area, make sure to stop by. :)

I read the "sheperding" books several years ago. Truly provacative and challenging. It's really good stuff, but keep in mind one important word--Grace. We'll make mistakes with our children. God's grace abounds and overcomes. Blessings.

Carrie,
Your little one is adorable! I totally understand the whole discipline thing. We went to a great class when James was in seminary and we read a book called How Children Raise Parents by Dan B. Allender and it was amazing and gave us incredible insight to our little ones. It looks like you are having so much fun being a mama. Good to see you all are doing well.
