Welcome to 2010!

Let's go back about six weeks and get caught up, shall we? On December 12th Lauren graduated from ENMU so we headed back to Clovis. Nellie's onesie says "Eastern" on it and Lauren bought it for her forever go (I may have still been pregnant) just so she could it wear it to see her graduate!
Even though Nellie is over a year I still managed to cram her in my peanut sling and she took a little snooze at graduation.
Christmas pajama pic...Yeehaw!
So sassy in her snowman shirt.
A bathtub baby pic with Macey. This was the only one where they were both looking up at the same time.
Christmas Eve in the LC. We went to the church service and Nellie was burning up and she fell asleep on my chest. The next day she had a fever of 104.5! Poor baby, we almost had to take her to urgent care.

Christmas day with the whole fam. It was impossible to get Nellie to look at the camera when we set the timer.
The next day we went inter-tubbing in Cloudcroft.
Uncle Jason and Nellie taking a walk in the snow.
Then we rented snow mobiles and went on a tour. Those things are tough to control! There was this one lady who turned hers over at least 6 different times.

The frozen fountain at Si Senor. We also saw Avatar that day in 3-D. It was cool but really hard on my eyes and gave me a headache. I want to rent it went it comes out so I can concentrate more on the graphics.
This is at a friend's wedding the next week.
We get an always get her to do this face!
Nellie is so loud and extraverted (she must get that from Cody :) and she was going up to all the big kids and trying to talk and play with them. When we go to the library reading for story time she goes right up to the lady reading and stands in the front. Everywhere we go she makes herself right at home. No matter how tired she is if there are other kids around, she has energy!

We were feeding Nellie cream of spinach soup that Cody made from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Looks disgusting but she like it! We are trying the French Onion on Tuesday. (I bought Cody both volumes for Christmas after we watched the movie)
The next weekend we went to Denver for my birthday. It was our first time to leave Nellie for longer than one night. We left early on Friday (before she woke up) and came back on Monday. It was my official weaning weekend. It was definitely harder on me than her.
The first night we went to Nuggets vs Cavaliers game and it was super cool. We were staying on 16th street mall so walked everywhere.
A little LeBron and Shaq action.
The next day we went to the zoo. It was so lovely. When Cody and I were getting on the bus the driver only charged us for one person. And I said we need two. He said "kids ride free." I said "I'm almost 28." Then he said "oh, I am sorry I thought he was your dad!" Cody was so mortified but it sure made turning 28 a little easier for me. :) (The security lady at the airport also thought I was a minor traveling without a parent. I really need to keep Nellie with me if I want to look like a grown up)
The next day we rented a car and drove to Golden. We toured the Coors Brewery and had a nice lunch and then went to see our good friends Paty, Preston, and Paxton.
Little Paxton was only 3 weeks old and he is sooo cute!
The next weekend we went on a bird watching tour.
It was Nellie's nap time so she crashed out in the Ergo. She missed all the "action." Honestly, I didn't get the whole hobby. My eyes aren't good enough to spot these birds so far away. When they do point them out, I can't find them in my binoculars!
Cody loves birds, but I think he prefers looking at them in the zoo better. A little easier to spot them that way.

I did get to release on of the birds they tagged. He really loved me, he didn't want to fly away. As you can see Nellie is still crashed.
Look at the big baby belly! Her legs are so scrawny but after she eats she gets quite the panza!
Her new "trick" of climbing into the cabinet and emptying out its contents.
Here's a few cute pics I took today. The background stinks but this had the best lighting.
Little cutie head.
That's about it. Hope you all are doing great!!!

Twilight update: Wowsa, I am about 3/4 through the last book. SOOOO intense. How are they going to make this one into a movie and keep it PG-13!??
